Guided Product Selection

The guided product selection capability is designed to help customers find the most suitable products more quickly and easily.

The existing product catalog on Dow.com offers several filters for customers to use and narrow their search selection. However, the goal of this alternative navigation approach is to ensure that all customer types, despite their level of familiarity with Dow, can find the appropriate product to meet their needs.

The new capability allows customers to select their market, intended use, and product properties, resulting in a detailed product list that meets their criteria. The experience is purposefully tailored to represent how a salesperson would assist a customer with a product selection.


Guided Product Selection is useful when:

  • Audience lacks technical or chemical competency (i.e., customer is not a formulation chemist/technical expert).
  • Desire for an enhanced customer experience (i.e., visual enhancements, mobile optimization, etc.).
  • Lack of engagement with existing tools (i.e., desire to promote product selection or specific solutions).
  • Product selection requires more guidance.
